We would like to highlight some of the great efforts our tenants are making through their environmental and sustainability initiatives. Here are a few examples:
Baked & Grilled
-We encourage our guests to help themselves to the buffet more than once rather than throwing food away. This helps reduce food waste.
-We sort everything for recycling, from packaging to food scraps
Bastard Burgers
-We have a wide selection of vegan options
-We sort everything at the source, from packaging to food scraps.
-We use only paper in our packaging.
Bergqvist Shoes
-We send shoes to our shoemaker for repair first, before filing a complaint.
-We have replaced all the lighting in our store and purchase renewable electricity that does not come from fossil fuels.
-Our top priority in purchasing is brands that use recycled materials.
Chili Wok
-We sell surplus food through the TOO GOOD TO GO app. It’s a simple and affordable way for you and your family to help reduce food waste while getting something really delicious in return.
-We donate leftover food to nonprofit organizations that distribute it to people in need. This way, we reduce food waste while helping those who need it.
Fix My Phone
-We sell containers made from recycled plastic and biodegradable compostable materials.
-We recycle 90 percent of the parts from the repair.
-We buy and refurbish broken phones, which we then resell.
Glitter
-Glitter is the main sponsor of Save the Children, whose mission is to help children in need.
-More than 50% of all Glitter products are currently manufactured in Green factories.
-We've increased the proportion of jewelry made of genuine silver. Silver is a more sustainable metal and supports a sustainable mindset—just polish it up and keep it!
Hemtex
-We have sheets and terry cloth made from organic cotton
-We carry baby products made from 100% organic cotton
-Hemtex is partnering with Myrorna to collect textiles for reuse
-We have blackout curtains made of 100% recycled polyester
Warehouse
-Our products are made entirely or partially from recycled materials.
-Our products are developed with great consideration for those who work on the farms and in the factories—they should receive fair pay and have a reasonable work environment.
-Our raw materials and ingredients have been grown without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
Majken's Room
-We source our products from local suppliers. We collaborate with Mellow Design from Växjö, which manufactures wooden signs at a factory outside the city and trays on Öland. We also work with Älska Plåt, whose collection is manufactured in Nässjö.
-We like to choose eco-friendly manufacturing when we source our fashion collection. That selection is getting bigger every season, which is great!
-All online orders from majkensrum.se are packaged in recycled materials from the store.
MQ
-We'll take your sneakers and make them look brand new again at Sneakerstvätten.
-We'll restore your faded jeans to like-new condition.
-We collect clothing that might be useful to someone else, in partnership with Myrorna.
Polarn O. Pyret
-We accept used PO.P clothing and resell it in the secondhand section of the store. As a rule of thumb, at least three children should have worn and loved the same item.
-Polarn O. Pyret manufactures all of its cotton garments from organic cotton, and half of this cotton is also GOTS-certified.
-We have professional tailors repair PO.P garments that have become damaged.
Scorett
-We donate the shoes that cannot be sold to Human Bridge, which in turn ensures that these resources are put to good use by those in need.
-Most of the production takes place in Europe. This means shorter lead times, shorter transport distances, and it is easier to visit the factory to monitor working conditions and environmental issues.
-You can drop off your unwanted shoes in our Shoe Reuse collection boxes, and we'll make sure they're reused.
Jewelry
-We work extensively with recycled gold and conflict-free diamonds.
-Our wedding and engagement rings are made from 100% recycled gold
-The paper bags and boxes you receive from us are FGC-certified, glued with organic adhesive, and designed to last a long time.
Stadium
-Through Human Bridge and re:activate, we want to give new life to the products our customers no longer need and instead give someone else the opportunity to live a better life, while also conserving the Earth’s resources.
-We dye our clothes using the solution dyeing process, a technique that uses much less water.
-Also, keep an eye out for our sustainable products marked with our sustainability symbol.
Sushi Yama
-Our shrimp are ASC-certified, and our seafood salad is MSC-certified.
-You can recycle and return our takeout containers using the Repeat app.
-Sushi Yama follows the WWF's fish guide when we create our menu and select our ingredients.
Synsam
-Several of our eyeglass models are made from recycled materials.
-We have frames made from recycled frames, as well as from Sea2see, which is plastic recovered from the ocean.
-We recently launched a new collection called Jämtö—which is made entirely in Sweden.
Tele2
-Do you accept old phones as trade-ins? Instead of leaving them in a drawer at home or throwing them away, we make sure they are reused or recycled.
-In April 2020, Tele2 became the first climate-neutral operator in the Nordic region within its own operations
-Tele2 is determined to remain a leading telecom operator in the area of sustainability
Telia
-Telia is the first environmentally certified mobile, broadband, and landline operator in Sweden.
-Telia's goal is to achieve zero emissions and zero waste by 2030.
-Telia is climate-neutral through carbon offsetting and supports environmental projects that reduce global emissions, such as forestry projects in Zimbabwe and Peru.
Technology Magazine
-We have a wide selection of used phones. If you buy a used phone, your carbon footprint will be smaller than if you bought a new one.
-We repair iPhones in-store, from the iPhone 5 up to the iPhone 12. Your carbon footprint is significantly reduced compared to buying a new phone.
-By protecting your phone with a screen protector and a case or cover, your phone can last for several years.
