The restaurant scene in Växjö and Kalmar continues to evolve as Bastard Burgers announces its acquisition of Grilleriet Burgers. Grilleriet Burgers has been in business since 2015

We’ve been in business since 2015 and are very grateful to all our guests and employees who have supported us over the years. I’m handing over the company, the restaurants, and the employees to very capable hands, which feels fantastic,” says Felix Astrén, owner of Grilleriet Burgers.
The acquisition includes all three Grilleriet Burgers locations at Storgatan 10 in Kalmar, Kungsgatan 4 in Växjö, and the Grand Samarkand shopping center in Växjö.
“It feels incredible! The dialogue with Grilleriet Burgers and Felix Astrén has been incredibly positive and smooth, which makes the transition and this news feel even more wonderful. We’re really looking forward to getting to know our new colleagues, establishing a dual presence in Växjö, and becoming even stronger in Kalmar,” says Simon Wanler, CEO and co-founder of Bastard Burgers.
The renovations are in full swing, and the three restaurants are scheduled to be ready to serve Bastard burgers in early March.

Bastard Burgers serves smash burgers made with Swedish beef, handmade milkshakes, one of Sweden’s largest vegan menus, and kids’ burgers made with high-quality meat. The restaurants follow the same concept as the rest of the burger chain’s locations and are open from lunchtime through the evening.
